Chapter 22

C-Whiz looked over at the beautiful woman beside him and couldn’t believe that he was taking her out on a date. After he’d saved their lives, Champagne asked him out. “I will be glad to take you out,” he’d told her. The worse day of his life was slowly turning into the best day of his life. He wasn’t familiar with the area, so he allowed her to drive. He’d also let her pick out the restaurant and decide what they would do after they ate.

“I can’t imagine my life without my father. I’m so grateful for you. I owe you big time.”

“It was my pleasure boo and you don’t owe me a thing. Being in your presence is way more than I can ask for.”

She smiled as she maneuvered through the Orlando traffic. It was hard to take everything in with her beauty taking over his mind, but he needed to learn the area. “Are you ready?” She asked him. He was deep in thought about how his luck had changed for the better over the last 12 hours. By the time he was out of the door and around to her door to open it for her, she was already out.

“Oh, you were trying to be a gentleman. I’m sorry. I’m just so used to doing everything for myself.” Deanna would have never said that, he thought. He started comparing his wife and Champagne. They were like night and day. Sure, they were hood rich in Atlanta, but Deanna thought they were filthy rich. She lived for parties that celebrities held, driving cars that were mentioned in a rap songs, and dining at restaurants where she couldn’t pronounce what was on the menu. Champagne on the other hand, who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and had three times more money than she could probably ever spend in her lifetime, drove a Honda Accord and ate at Olive Garden.

He beat her to the chase when they were taken to their table. He almost knocked the hostess over trying to pull the chair out for her. If he played his cards right, he would definitely
